One of four mailbox emojis, the open mailbox with raised flag emoji is very similar to its closed counterpart, except that its front is entirely lowered to show white or yellow envelopes inside. Except for the Emojidex version, the mailbox shown is the iconic American, front lawn style. It is usually blue but can also be gray or red, depending on the emoji platform used.
